The Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned duties by the Solid Waste Manager by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, including: answering phone calls, maintaining filing systems as assigned, Assist the Finance Director in preparing annual report for DHEC, research and apply for grant opportunities, maintain all documentation for grants, schedule meetings and maintain calendars, track solid waste tickets and receipts for proper billing, maintain office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment, and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing, and the ability to work independently.

Education/Experience: Associate’s Degree in related field preferred with three to five years of experience in an administrative role.
