Barnwell County is now accepting applications for the position of week-end/holiday part-time clerk in the Magistrates office. Under occasional supervision, performs a variety of bookkeeping and clerical duties in support of efficient and effective Week-End Magistrate office operations. Receives, records and deposits bond and other payments. Assists judges, attorneys, and other court officials as needed. Must be able to be bonded and reports to the Week-End Magistrates.
Qualifications: High School Diploma supplemented by two years of clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Applicant must have knowledge in computer applications and be proficient in typing. Must have effective communication skills and abilities to meet and work well with the public. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license with no convictions of driving offenses and must have a favorable background investigation.
Salary: $12.50/hr. (minimum 5 hours per day if called in to work)
Work Requirements: Available every week-end and thirteen (13) holidays.
