Daniel Alexander is a dedicated public servant and professional, currently serving on the Barnwell County Council and as the Director of Operations for Anovotek, LLC, in Barnwell. A proud alumnus of Clemson University, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Polymer and Fiber Chemistry and an MBA. Daniel's commitment to Clemson extends to his role on the Golf Paws advisory board, supporting the university's golf teams.
Recognized for his contributions, Daniel was named a Roaring 10 recipient by the Clemson Young Alumni Council, an honor bestowed upon individuals for their significant achievements in business, leadership, community, education, or philanthropy.
Elected to the Barnwell County Council in 2018 at the age of 29, Daniel leads the personnel and finance committees, helping to allocate Barnwell County’s $23 million budget. He is also a board member of the South Carolina Association of Counties, advocating for rural broadband, educational advancements, and improved quality of life in rural South Carolina.
Beyond his professional and civic engagements, Daniel is an active basketball official with the South Carolina High School League and the South Carolina Independent Schools Association, with notable experience in state championship games.
Daniel and his wife, Taylor, are proud parents to two daughters, Mary Chilton and Margaret.
